You can choose to only show an individual file type such as just WAV files, or all the types supported by the program. You won’t waste time with files that have already been converted when you can hide the ones you don’t want. Compiling the files to convert from all over your computer will take the most time in the whole process; Advanced WMA Workshop makes it all easy and painless.

Once you’ve assembled your list of files and folders to convert, you need to decide what these files will look like once WMA Advanced Workshop is finished encoding. After deep soul searching, simply move your mouse to the corresponding button in the toolbar. Each format has a corresponding colored arrow in the toolbar making the file type decision the tricky part and starting the process simple.

Other options are all clearly presented on the main screen such as the output folder or buttons to alter the order of file conversion. Right below the main view windowpane is an audio player for previewing the track you want to convert. This is a nice addition ensuring once again, that you have the right file.

This program also allows CD ripping, making it a useful tool for all music file maintenance on your machine. When you are adding music to your computer, Advanced WMA Workshop makes sure you get the correct files in their correct form from the beginning. And for everyone’s sanity, the CD ripper has access to the CDDB to label your tracks correctly from the start.

Once everything is in order and you finally hit the convert button, a conversion wizard window pops up. Making all the available options for each file conversion easily accessible right from the get-go saves a lot of agony from wading through preference screens. You can turn this feature off once you set the preferences the way you want which also is a nice feature.
